Since I started making pictures, it has always been a dream to one day shoot, if not for National Geographic then for GEO, the German reportage magazine, renowned for its amazing photography. I'm proud to say that I have come a big step closer to realising this dream.
At the beginning of August, I spent five days in Liverpool to photograph a 14-page feature on the city, which will appear in GEO Saison, Germany's biggest travel magazine and a sister publication to GEO proper, sometime in 2018.
A big thank you to Mareile Fritzsche, Geo Saison's picture editor for providing me with this opportunity, and also to Barbara Lich, who joined me on the trip and who will be writing the feature.
The current street photography exhibition Wisdom Cries in the Streets at Photofusion in Brixton features the work of Khalik Allah (New York) and Adama Jalloh (Peckham).
There is also a video on show, with me talking about Serious Conviction, my long-term project about the people of Speakers' Corner. The interview was conducted by Eddie Otchere, who is the curator of the exhibition.
Go see it. It's on until 23 August.
I've been back shooting at Speakers' Corner in Hyde Park for the first time in two years. It was the day the news came through that ladders and 'soapboxes' are to be banned at Speakers' Corner. I can't imagine it's going to happen, though.
